It’s already been rumoured that current PS4-exclusive No Man’s Sky will be coming to Xbox One – you can check out the details right here. Now, it seems, there might be a little more proof that the game is – or was – destined to reach Microsoft’s console.
One enterprising NeoGAF forum member has reported finding files that relate to the PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Given the game’s long development, we suspect that it’s unlikely that the last-gen consoles will ever see NMS.
But digging a little deeper, there are further clues that the game may one day land on the Xbox One…
According to the original poster, ‘Hello Games uses Havoc for its physics and the license included also entitles them to develop for Xbone’.
Since Hello Games owns the rights to the game, some users are suggesting that Sony has acted more as a marketing tool in which to launch a timed exclusive. Others point out that there is nothing stating that the game belongs wholly to PlayStation on the US box art.
Given that developer Sean Murray has been incredibly coy when asked about an Xbox One version, this is one to watch.
