The Legend of Zelda is a saga where there is no description for this work of art created by Nintendo, I can say that it is one of the most interesting and intense sagas that exists in the world of video games, for my part I am one of The gamers Of the series where my interest arose in The legend of Zelda (1986) which enjoys in Nintendo Entertainment System appreciating the 8 bits in that time and at the same time enjoying the beginning of this great saga.
I really can not lie to them because I have not played them all. The last The Legend of Zelda game i played was The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on Nintendo 64 which this one made me sweat my hands for the first time. I was lucky enough to be able to play The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on the Game Boy where it was a different a experience but at the same time fun, but my heart belongs to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time that to be honest I do not know how my Nintendo 64 did not catch fire after so many times that I played it.
But now comes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to invade my heart with a world unlike any other with a hint of one and another The Legend of Zelda. Link a child with a sword that defies a demon who simply will not die with the help of the princess. Zelda and Ganon have been trapped in a 100-year battle at Hyrule Castle. The cities and villages were destroyed and their remains have been charred scattered throughout the earth as reminders of what has been lost. Link, seriously injured in the fight, was taken to a restoration chamber, waking up 100 years later without remembering what happened. Your overall goal is obviously to beat Ganon and save Zelda! But the path to final victory will be shaped by your actions and your decisions.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has an open world design where you can surely have about 50 hours in it, discovering as much as you can and at the same time enjoying its landscapes that are the most beautiful I have played in Any game. Once you finish The Old Man in The Great Plateau you will be free to go to any direction you want to conquer the game however you want. In my case I ran like crazy sometimes but also took my time to explore and thus I discovered all the Shiekah shrines that I could. These puzzles and combat modes built centuries ago offered me many opportunities to use Shiekah’s slate.
Link now has a multitool technology that allows you to create bombs, stop objects in time, manipulate magnetic objects and freeze water or destroy ice. It may sound a bit limiting but this small selection of tools can be used in powerful ways to solve or eliminate whatever gets in the way. His progress through the earth is not hampered by the tools he possesses. Instead it’s about your armor and the weapons you currently have in possession with the number of hearts you have.
Enemies in Breath of the Wild are brutal and often hit by five or more hearts in one fell swoop, weapons and shields can be undone and broken, Link has never been so fragile or so human. The latest Zelda Legend games with their linear progression have always prepared for the fight ahead. They gave you the right tools at the right times where the earth was full of bombs, arrows and rupees to fill what you wanted.
You can not be failing, unless you go out of your way to find the supplies you need to strengthen you, looking for food all the way because there are no pieces of hearts, stealing the weapons of the enemies because yours are about to break , Cooking food of different plates to be able to survive of certain circumstances because there is no store of potions of easy access. Link’s success will be your big responsibility.
The weapons break even to look at them, sometimes I did not last in a single encounter and there were times that I had to use three different melee tools to defeat an enemy. Replacement weapons are readily available with the Shiekah Chalkboard where you can easily steal swords before the Bokoblins can use them against you. Combos of sword and shield, two-handed spears that are ideal for mounted combat, sticks of all sizes and boomerangs that could be used as a short sword and as a projectile that returns to you.
This makes the game interesting as it does not make it so easy. The sense of discovery in Breath of the Wild is like nothing I’ve felt in a long, long time in other games, I felt like a Christopher Columbus in his adventurous years. However, the techniques you learn from the Shrines become an essential training in Breath of the Wild. Whenever I encountered a new Shrine, I was excited to discover any new challenges it contained, with some Shrines in particular, the feeling was as intrinsic as the first levels of the portal because they implied something much larger and more impressive.
The saga has always had something like a fairy tale with its great landscapes and suggestive worlds. The view of the sunrise over a glowing lake with the beautiful plains of Hyrule Field stretching beneath you filling you with a head of much imagination where everything that happens to you in it is an unprecedented adventure.
In order to avoid the spoilers I will not go into too much detail, but I can tell you that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an ART WORK and is a game that you can not stop having in your console and you own a Nintendo Wii U or a Nintendo Switch.
I was able to play it on Nintendo Switch and I can tell you that I enjoyed it to the maximum and I did not have to envy anything to any game of those that have been on Xbox One S and PS4 Pro scaled to 4K. At no point did I feel dropped frames when I was in the Dock as well as in the Portable mode.
