Guerrilla Games’ new RPG Horizon: Zero Dawn isn’t even out yet, but it already received patch 1.02 today from Sony.
The patch isn’t big, but it does come with significant changes, which you can see in the patch notes below.
To be more precise on the “updated visual settings,” it adds a manual HDR option, and one to either favor frame rate or resolution on PS4 Pro, as you can see below. The toggle is simply marked as “unavailable” on standard PS4.
The “favor frame rate” option promises smoother FPS, while the “favor resolution” one promises a 2160p checkerboard resolution, or supersampling if your monitor does not support 4K.
Interestingly, we also get “performance improvements,” even if there are no details on what they actually entail.
You can check it out below, and if you want know more about the game, you can give a look at our review. You can also watch the Accolades trailer from yesterday and the launch trailer released just today.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is scheduled to release exclusively for PS4 on February 28th in North America, and on March 1st in Europe.
