Microsoft has already added eight brand new games to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list this month and now they’ve added another classic.
The latest game to go backwards compatible is Bomberman Live: Battlefest, having already seen Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Dirt 3, Dirt Showdown, Grid 2, Shank 2, Nin2-Jump, New Rally-X and Mr. Driller Online added this month.
As per usual, the news was announced by Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb via the Microsoft Director of Programming’s Twitter feed and the while Bomberman Live: Battlefest is a great party game, it’s clearly not going to be one of the most highly requested games having seen the likes of Red Dead Redemption added to the Xbox One in the last few months.
The game was part of the Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade range and followed the traditional Bomberman gameplay of blowing each other up with strategicaly placed bombs.
However it also featured single-player and online multiplayer games with up to eight other players at once.
It also featured bomberman spins on classic multiplayer games such as VIP, Capture the Flag and classic deathmatch.
With this new addition, it now brings the total number of new games added in August to a grand total of nine.\
