The long-awaited Nintendo Switch finally debuted earlier this month and given that the system has already seen over 1.5 million units sold around the world, the Switch has become a hot commodity and hard to find in stores – however, new shipments of the system seem to be on the way for next week, according to the company.
Nintendo of America announced that more Nintendo Switch shipments are on the way over the course of the next week to retailers, which offers some new chances for gamers to pick up the system given its scarce availability both in-store and online, from retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and more. No other details were provided, though Nintendo urged interested customers to “check with your local retailers” for if and when new systems will be available.
According to a report from GameSpot, Toys ‘R Us is expecting new stock for the Nintendo Switch in stores tomorrow, Saturday, March 25th, in which a store representative provided a statement that the retailer expects stock to “fly off [the] shelves.”
The Nintendo Switch released this month on March 3rd, 2017 – for a more in-depth look at the system, you can read our full review from our own Lou Contaldi.
