It is commonplace for big-budget, AAA games to feature microtransactions, butResident Evil 7 will not follow suit, apparently. The official Resident Evil video games Twitter account confirmed the news.
In a tweet, the company also confirmed the retailer preorder bonuses that leaked earlier this week.

The other piece of Resident Evil 7 news today is that Capcom has released some new screenshots that show off the dark and mysterious Baker family and their home.
One image shows the Baker family eating a gross-looking dinner, while the second shows a busted wall with light shining through. Here’s how Capcomcaptioned the tweet: “Would you join The Baker family for dinner? And what about that wall..?” Take a look at the images in the gallery below.
Resident Evil 7 is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017. If you preorder its $80 Deluxe edition, you receive access to two more pieces of additional content. The first includes four short side stories, while the second adds another episode to the main game.
