We are in mid-September and Microsoft has updated the list of games with gold offerings for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Now, the Gold lineup also includes Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China (Xbox One) and Mirror’s Edge (Xbox 360), but Gold members are also getting Xbox 360 Arcade game Splosion Man for free, although Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb hasn’t mentioned anything about it. On the other hand, there are rumors about Gold October 2016’s lineup and they indicate a mix of Triple-A and indie games.
So, Microsoft has refreshed the Gold September 2016 lineup on September 16 and gamers are able to download Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China on Xbox One – which replaces WWE 2K16, and Mirror’s Edge on Xbox 360, which replaces Forza Horizon. On the other hand, the role-playing game Earthlock: Festival of Magic for Xbox One that was introduced on the list with Gold releases in the first day of September will remain part of the lineup until the end of the month. It’s interesting that Splosion Man wasn’t announced to be part of September’s Games with Gold offerings, but users are able to play it on both Xbox One and Xbox 360.
In two weeks, fans will be offered a new round of Games with Gold and the lineup will contain Triple-A game titles and indie games, but Microsoft hasn’t made any announcement yet about this. However, there’s a video that lasts 35 seconds and it features games that are expected to be added to Xbox Games with Gold October 2016. The Triple-A games predicted to make their way to the lineup are Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Iron Man 2, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs and Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport 5.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China is about Shao Jun, who is trying to re-establish the brotherhood, but it won’t be easy, because China is devastated. Earthlock: Festival of Magic is an indie game developed by Snowcastle Games and which engages a pair of characters (a warrior and a protector) into battle, against another pair.
